And when months of jackhammering and street construction threatened to hollow out downtown momentum, the "I Dig St. Helens" campaign turned disruption into something else entirely — a once-in-a-generation moment to witness the waterfront and roundabout transformation before it was finished. Despair became pride. That's what this committee does.
