Economic Vitality

A healthy downtown economy doesn't happen by accident. The Economic Vitality Committee works to strengthen the business environment in our district — connecting property owners with prospective tenants, supporting existing businesses, and building the data infrastructure that makes smart decisions possible.

Current projects include a Building Inventory Database to track vacancies and opportunities across the district, a Property Owner Matchmaking initiative to connect owners with the right tenants, and the Wood Nickel — a local currency concept designed to keep spending circulating downtown.

We're also proud to have supported recent grant-funded improvements including accessibility upgrades at the Klondike Building and storefront revitalization at Dawn/Dusk.

When downtown businesses thrive, the whole community feels it. This committee makes that happen.
