<image:title>Our Mission - Cultivating connection through community.</image:title>
<image:caption>St. Helens Main Street works across the full length of our district — from the wide boulevards and mid-century storefronts of uptown Houlton, down through the historic riverfront blocks of Old Town, and everywhere in between. This is Your Downtown. Not just one street, not just one era, but the entire corridor that has anchored St. Helens commerce, culture, and community identity for generations. Our work starts with a simple question: What do you need, and how can we help? From there we connect business owners with national, statewide, and local resources — grants, technical assistance, peer networks, and hands-on support — to help them not just survive but grow.</image:caption>

<image:title>Promotion - Promotions Committee</image:title>
<image:caption>Historic commercial St. Helens has a story worth telling — and this committee tells it. The Promotion Committee drives the marketing, events, and community-facing energy that keeps downtown visible, vibrant, and worth showing up for. This is where ideas become moments. The North of West Music Fest. Shop Small Saturday. And when months of jackhammering and street construction threatened to hollow out downtown momentum, the "I Dig St. Helens" campaign turned disruption into something else entirely — a once-in-a-generation moment to witness the waterfront and roundabout transformation before it was finished. Despair became pride. That's what this committee does. Our work connects people to place, turns foot traffic into loyal customers, and gives the community reasons to keep coming back — even when the road is literally torn up. Stay connected. <image:title>Economic Vitality - Economic Vitality</image:title>
<image:caption>A healthy downtown economy doesn't happen by accident. The Economic Vitality Committee works to strengthen the business environment in our district — connecting property owners with prospective tenants, supporting existing businesses, and building the data infrastructure that makes smart decisions possible. Current projects include a Building Inventory Database to track vacancies and opportunities across the district, a Property Owner Matchmaking initiative to connect owners with the right tenants, and the Wood Nickel — a local currency concept designed to keep spending circulating downtown. We're also proud to have supported recent grant-funded improvements including accessibility upgrades at the Klondike Building and storefront revitalization at Dawn/Dusk. When downtown businesses thrive, the whole community feels it. This committee makes that happen.</image:caption>

<image:title>Organization & Outreach - Organization & Outreach</image:title>
<image:caption>Everything St. Helens Main Street does depends on a strong organizational foundation — clear governance, good systems, and a community that feels genuinely connected to the work. The Organization & Outreach Committee focuses on exactly that: board alignment, volunteer development, documentation standards, and the infrastructure that makes all the other committees possible. In 2026, this committee is helping lead the systems work that positions St. Helens Main Street for continued advancement toward full Main Street America Accreditation — building an organization worthy of the community it serves.</image:caption>
